Note	H.C. Andersen skrev om hende i "Levnedsbogen" (1832): ?Hun var et underligt jovialt væsen, der tog alting let og manglede ikke hjerte±.
Note	I 1812 havde han giftet sig med den 19-årige Inger Cathrine Hjarup (1793-1854). Parret fik i 1813 en datter, Else Marie Bentine (1813-1834), 1817 en søn, Peter Ludvig (1817-53), og 1821 endnu en søn, Jess Jacob Henrik (1821-?). Senere, i maj 1823, fik de et tvillingepar, en dreng, der døde som spæd, og en pige, som levede, men hvis navn ikke er oplyst i de trykte kilder. 1825 fik parret endnu en søn, Peter (1825-82), der som voksen blev gartner på godset Lerchenborg, hvor Andersen traf ham under et flere dages besøg i juli 1862.
